Personal Intro
Hello! I’m glad you’re here!
The following are a few insights to the person behind the name.
Dwelling in nature, holding favorite coffee mugs, checking the sun’s passage to catch the light… these are moments that occur in each of my days.
I love being with people. Friends, family, cafe-goers where I serve as a barista, strangers in my travels… I also love retreating to my own spaces to create, dream up new ideas, and learn through research and experience.
Scattered and always actively thinking, it’s challenging for me to find calm, but when I’m making art, the world blurs out and life becomes sensory rather than cerebral as colors mix, my nearby coffee steams and ideas commute from head to hand freely.
At the moment, I’m in Vermont with my 17-year-old cat and large family, paying off college loans and planning for my next adventures. Here, the summers are verdant and, while the social scene is limited, the kayaking options are numerous.
I enjoy exploring and this past summer spent a month road-tripping solo to Colorado and back to visit a friend. It was a fun challenge and a unique experience to spend each night camping in a tent on my car’s roof. My next hopes for travel are to return to Italy, where I began a study abroad program in spring of 2020, to do photography and travel writing.
A 2021 graduate from Gordon College, my concentrations were creative writing and studio art. I am fascinated by combinations of written and visual, the ways they can deepen an understanding of something seemingly simple and imbue it with meaning.
A few things I know:
Art-making and creative storytelling are essential elements of our social fabric and my life.
Relationships are one of life’s most valuable and beautiful things. We all need to be known, loved and encouraged.
All this nonsense about the cup being half anything is ridiculous: my coffee cup is always full.
Your presence here means ever so much to me.
